LA BAULE, ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BAY AROUND THE WORLD!
The Club of the most beautiful bays around the world, which currently has about thirty members, including: the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, the Somme Bay, Gulf of Morbihan in France but also the Bay of San Francisco and the Bay Ha Long has just admitted within it the Bay of La Baule.
Created 15 years ago, this club is a real place of exchange which aims “to become the international reference for an intelligent management of coastal areas.” Admission requirements are particularly stringent, since each bay must have at least two criteria recognized by UNESCO in the categories of cultural or natural property.
The Bay of La Baule has conquered the club members mainly by:
- The desire to preserve its architectural heritage consists of thousands of houses of character,
- Its ongoing commitment for 20 years to protect and enhance the iconic pine forest of La Baule,

Guérande, the Medieval city and its guided tour
While in La Baule, take the opportunity to get seduced by tours of Guérande.
Throughout the year, guides from the Tourist Office offers you the opportunity to discover Guérande and its region.
All year round, the tourist office proposes different types of guided tours in Guérande and its surrounding area:
tours of the old walled town, street theatre/guided tours in summer, guided tours of the Saint Aubin’s Church bell tower.
From April to October six guided visits are proposed, from Tuesday to Friday at 3:00 pm and the top of the Saint-Aubin Collegiate Church at 5:00 pm.

Le Crosic and the Wild Coast
At the tip of the “Wild coast”, Le Croisic remained a fishing port and bustling marina and is ideal starting point for a walk on the Wild Coast.
The harbour and marina is integrated into the heart of the city which is proud to be the first French fishing port for the prawn, logical continuation of a long maritime tradition.
Wharves, bordered by old houses of the fifteenth, sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, serve authentic vessels wisely aligned. These houses recall the prosperity of this port, whose existence dates back to ancient “Gaulle”.
It is from the sixteenth century that his fame will grow thanks to the great fishing and maritime trade. In the seventeenth, he will know a particularly successful.
